以前の記事に書きましたが、

まさにその通りなのでファッションイラストレーションは面白い！

全然似ていなかったり、

子供のらくがきのようなスタイルは私は好きではありません。

でも少しくらい脚を細く長く描いたり、ウェストを細くしたり、

または実際よりグラマラスに描いたり…。

That is why drawing fashion illustrations is interesting and fun!

I love drawing beautiful things and I want them to look 

as beautiful as they could be!

絵の最終的な雰囲気をそのひとのイメージに近づけるのが

楽しくて仕方ないのです。

I'll make a listing on Etsy that people can order me to draw

their favorite outfit! I need more samples!!

UPしようと思います！もっともっとサンプル描かなきゃ！

Autumn inspired illustrations

I've been drawing autumn inspired illustrations and I love them!
I would love to sell seasonal greeting cards in my shop someday.

最近は、ようやく秋の空気が気持ちよくなってきました。
秋をテーマにしたファッションイラストレーションをいくつか描いています。
「秋の夜長」を愉しむのって、とっても好きです。

よく「読書の秋」とか「食欲の秋」とか言うけれど、
自分なりに秋になるとわくわくするものをイラストにしてみようと思ったのです。
いつかショップに季節のグリーティングカードを置くのを夢見て…。

It feels really good to draw by the window listening to insects' songs.
I'm kind of excited to welcome the new season even though I don't like cold weather.

絵を描いているとすぐに時間は過ぎていってしまうのですが、
コオロギや鈴虫の声をききながら、窓辺で絵を描くのはとっても気持ちいい！

Iconic brides

先日のオーダー分は無事に描き終え、
お客様の手元に届いたようです！
気に入ってくれたようで本当によかった！

I already finished the commission I was working on and
they got the illustration and love it! How great is that!!!

仕上がりは私もとっても満足がいっていて、
いつかここでお見せできたら、そして、新しいスタイルとして定番化できたらと
思っています。
I also love the finished illustration and I'm thinking that
since it was kind of new to me, it could become one of my illustration styles.
I may add a new listing like that one to my Etsy shop.

いつだって素敵なウェディングドレスを見たら、描きたい衝動に駈られますが、
これは格別！
Now, I'm working on samples for my shop.
Anytime I see a beautiful wedding gown, I want to draw it but
this one is really special!!!!

She was a huge fashion icon and I love her style.

生前、彼女はスタイルアイコンそのもので、彼女の着るものや、スタイリングは

最高におしゃれでした。

Bessette asked her close friend (and then-unknown designer)

Narciso Rodriguez to design the gown she wore to marry John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1996!

I love love love this simple bias-cut silk dress!

彼女は仲良しのNarciso Rodriguezにデザインを依頼したそう！

その頃は無名のようなものだったのに、このシンプルなシルクのバイアスカットのドレスが

彼のキャリアを築いたとも言われています。

私もこのドレスを着た彼女のこの写真が大好き！

ウェディングそのものもとっても素敵！

The girl I drew is not Carolyn, she is just my imagination!

描いた女の子はCarolynではないです、ただの私の想像の産物！

でもドレスは彼女のものです。シルクの艶やかな感じが出せたかな。

I think it turned pretty well especially the silky feel of the dress!

I asked this guy for the wedding day video.

1年前、結婚式のムービーはこのひとにお願いしました！

どんな経緯で彼を見つけたかは、以前にも書きましたが、

とにかくこのひと以外には見つけられませんでした！

I was super happy and excited when I found him while net surfing.

I couldn't think of anyone else!

そんな彼に感謝の気持ちを込めて、イラストを描きました！

I wanted to thank him with my illustration. I hope he liked it!

About this blog~今後のブログについて~

ショップも無事にオープンして、少し落ち着いてきました。
そしてブログについて考えました。

もともと始めたのは、いつか自分のやりたいことの役に立つと思って。
このブログは自分の記録として、
そして読んでくれたひとが「結婚式を創り上げる」ことに興味を持ってくれるように…。

I started this blog because it could be good for what I wanted to do
(which is...having my own web shop)
and for myself to remember how I organized my wedding.
I was also hoping that the readers of my blog would be interested in 
creating their own weddings.

ブログってとっても難しいものです。
読んでもらいたいような読まれたら恥ずかしいような。
そして「読まれる」ということは「読ませる」ようにすること。
あまり時間をあけずに、書いていかなくちゃいけない！

その自信がなかったので、下書きで書き溜めては
自分の過去を振り返るための日記として過去にスケジュールを設定して投稿。
（今はこんな機能もあるんですね！）
誰にもブログのことは言わずに、こそこそと書いていました。

Blogging is difficult because you have to commit.
I was a bit shy and I wanted people to read it but at the same time,
I didn't want anyone to read it.
If people are reading it and you want them to do so,
it means that you have to make people read it.
You have to interest them and post frequently.

I wasn't sure (or I'm still not sure) if I could do that.
I was just writing for myself and would keep my posts as drafts
and would post them in the past. (you can schedule to post them in the past!)
I didn't tell anyone about my blog. 

でもそれでは意味がないので、
自分の書けるときに無理せず投稿してみようと思います。

I realized that that is not what I want so
I will start posting whenever I feel like writing!

The Wedding Bouquet

今日は私の商品の中でももっとも繊細な一品。
こちらはファッションイラストレーションというよりは、
細密に緻密に描くスタイルです。
ウェディングブーケのイラストも承ります。
でも、お花ならお誕生日のブーケだっていいし、結婚式のものには限りません。
母の日もプレゼントにもいいかも！

This one is the most delicate illustration in my shop.
"The Wedding Bouquet" is a custom illustration of your wedding flowers.
I would draw any bouquet, it doesn't have to be a wedding one!
It could be great for a birthday or mother's day gift too!

Please confirm your order on Etsy and send me high resolution photographs 
of the couple, in their desired pose! It doesn't have to be two of you in the same picture!

*I need high-definition pictures!

Or you can send me an image of your dream outfit and your picture 
so that you can be in that outfit in the illustration!!

Let me know if you have any requests, such as changing colors or adding quotes or names.
If you want me to color backgrounds, 
Tell me what color background you want for the illustration.

I will e-mail you with a picture of the sketch to get your approval!
Once it is perfect, I'll start coloring it!
You can request as many times as you want but it will take me more time to
 perfect your illustration!


Once confirmed, it will take me one to two weeks to color it and I will send it to you securely!
