Reception and After party hair

After the ceremony, I removed the gem stone earrings and the headpiece

and put these earrings on.

If I could have another wedding reception someday,

I would go for some even-bigger earrings!

I also changed my lip color from beige to pink.

挙式後は、ヘッドピースを外し、ピアスを変えました。

本当はもっと大きなピアスにしたかったのだけれど、気に入るデザインのものが

なかったのです。

他にはリップをベージュからピンクに変えたくらい。

Due to the day before preparation, I couldn't color my nails until getting things done.

Finally, when almost everything was done, it was already 2:30 in the morning.

I colored my nails green to go with my whimsical bouquet!

前日は準備があったので、普通の花嫁のようにネイルサロンで

結婚式用のネイルにすることはできませんでした。

そして準備が朝の3時までかかったので、それからマニキュアとペディキュアを仕上げました。

カラフルで素敵なブーケにあわせて、ずっと前から色は決めていました。

At the after party, I didn't put any accessories on besides these big peonies.

My hair stylist did a great job and didn't take any more than 15 minutes to 

change my hair to fishtail braid.

I put fancy red lip and was ready to party!

アフターパーティーではアクセサリーは外し、この大きな芍薬の花を目立たせました。

ひろちゃんはヘアチェンジをものの10分くらいで終えて、

この素敵なフィッシュテイルに仕上げてくれました。

真っ赤なリップをつけて、レセプションから雰囲気をぐっと変えたつもりです。

Ceremony hair and beauty

During the ceremony, I wore this birdcage (fishnet) headpiece 

that my mom made for me.

挙式ではベールではなくて、チュールやフィッシュネットでできた

ヘッドピースをつけました。これはママに作ってもらったもの。

そしてずっとずっと考えていたエウヘのママがくれたジェムストーンは

こんなシンプルなピアスにして、挙式のときだけつけました。

And the gem stone that Euge's mom gave me turned into these simple earrings.

They looked gorgeous with the headpiece and my updo.

My hair was what I exactly hoped for.
Volume was perfect, it wasn't tight at all and was shiny.

ヘアスタイルはリハーサル通り、そして望んだ通りのものでした。
キツキツのアップではなく、ふわふわしているのに崩れない、まさにプロの技。
ひろちゃん、本当にありがとう。

Rehearsal dinner2

ディナーはだいたい7時前頃から2時間、3時間ほど。

ゴルフクラブにあるレストランのテラス席を貸しきりました。

この会場が素朴でとても素敵で、絶対にここでやりたいと思ったのです。

We started from around 7pm and stayed there for 2 to 3 hours.

The terrace was amazing, just as I imagined.

It was perfect to hold this big family together.

They don't speak the same language but united as one to celebrate my wedding!

同じ言語をしゃべらない20人の大人が、私の結婚式のために一同に集まって

ひとつになった気がして、とても嬉しかった！

パパはどことなく感慨深い様子。（疲れてただけ？？）

腕に影をおとすお花を愛でていました！

My dad looked somehow emotional?? or just tired??

He was having fun with the flowers!

I really wanted to hire a catering company for the rehearsal dinner

but I couldn't afford so the golf club prepared the food.

It was Chinese,  I thought it wouldn't match our style but the food looked 

beautiful and it was even photogenic!! 

本当はリハーサルディナーにもケータリング会社を、と思っていたのですが、

そこまでしてしまうと費用が大変だったので、ディナーはゴルフクラブにお願いしました。

中華料理だったので、合わないかなと思いきや・・・見た目も味もとってもよかった！

Rehearsal dinner

It wasn't really a rehearsal dinner because we didn't rehearse anything!

(Maybe, we should have!)

It was a family gathering which we may never have again.

リハーサルなんて何もしなかったので、リハーサルディナーとは名ばかりですが。

家族がこんなに集まる機会はもうないかもしれない。

なんていったって、アルゼンチン、カナダ、アメリカ、日本に家族が散らばっているから。

とにかくここぞとばかりに楽しもうと思ったのですが、

私は準備のことが気がかりで仕方なかった！

Our family is spreading all over the world.

I wanted to enjoy this rare opportunity as much as I could but

I was thinking too much about preparing for the next day! 

I hope everyone else enjoyed the family dinner!

The lanterns, the flowers, the napkins..... 

Everything matched and looked beautiful!

There were a lot of colors but it was perfectly totally coordinated.

Especially my pretty cows looked AMAZING on the table!

Aren't these adorable?

Big paper lanterns and pompoms floating in the air.

Instead of lighting them up, I added some yellow lanterns to feel the warmth.

The day before preparation

前夜の家族ディナーの装飾も私が担当しました。

みんなはもう疲れて休憩していたころ、ひとりで準備していました。

花屋さんは前日から来てもらおうという予定でしたが、次の日もあるのに

この少しの装飾のためだけに来てもらうのは悪いので、

お花だけ家まで朝届けてもらって、ゴルフ場まで持ってきたのでした。

その花を自分で用意したジャム瓶に活けて、ハサミでバランスを調整しました。

そしてIKEAのハリケーンランタンに大きなキャンドルと水と、コスモスを何輪か。

あとは、オリジナルで作ったペーパーナプキンと、

家族のために用意したギフトを置いて・・・
