Reception food

Spareribs are our main menu and there were plenty of them.

Hope our guests enjoyed them and liked the idea!

We ended up not serving ice cream but I was satisfied with fresh fruits 

and my dream cake!

Reception food

Our guests loved what we served at the reception.

I'm so happy and relieved because I put so much energy into the menu.

I don't really know how much they ate but there was a lot of food!

I wish I could've eaten more!

All these years I thought "I'll eat a lot at my wedding, I'll make it happen!".

Yes, I ate enough but I wish I had had more time!

レセプションの食事はとっても好評だったようで、

本当に努力が報われました！

ずっとずっと自分の結婚式では普通の花嫁のように食べられないなんて嫌だ！

いっぱい食べてやる！と思っていたのに

結局は思っていたようにいきませんでした。

もっともっと時間があったらよかったのに！

We bought some local fruits and displayed them on the cheese table.

They looked beautiful and add some rustic touch to the reception!

After party deco~morning prep~

I still remember the tranquility of the morning.

I had 2-hour sleep and still felt good.

That crisp feeling was one of the best memories of the day.

My nieces helped the florist put dahlias into the pool.

These pictures are beautiful and make me really happy.

あの日の朝の静けさはとても印象深く心に残っています。

2時間しか寝ていなかったのに、気分は良かったし、

なんとなく爽やかなあの朝の感じは結婚式の思い出の中でも特にいい思い出。

姪っ子たちが美和さんがダリアをプールに浮かべるのを手伝ってくれていました。

とっても幸せな気分になる写真です。

Bouquet

Look at my beautiful bouquet!!! Huge and exactly how I expected it to be!

期待通りのできばえ！大きくて美しい素晴らしいブーケでした。

It suited the theme perfectly and looks gorge in the pictures!

Those little ones were for our sisters who stood along with us at the ceremony.

Their dresses were beautiful and went perfectly with each bouquet.

テーマにも合っていたし、写真にも映える素敵なブーケ。

小さいものは私たちの姉用で、挙式で持ってもらいましたが、

彼女たちのドレスも素敵な色のものばかりだったのでとっても合っていました！

Buffet table

Our dream buffet table....

This is one of the things that I couldn't enjoy because I was too busy!

Of course, again, we would have displayed them differently but 

the table looked AMAZING with all the delicious treats!!

美味しそうなチーズや生ハムの載った夢のブッフェ・・・

これも自分で取りに行けず、少し残念でしたが、

ゲストのみんなはとっても喜んでくれたようで、本当にやってよかった！！

準備中に食べちゃえばよかった！！

Guest book

This is how our guest book corner looked on the day!

We put the flowers from the day before family dinner and couples of pictures

of our parents and us on the side.

ゲストブックはこんな感じに仕上がりました。

前夜のファミリーディナーで使ったお花もまだまだ活き活きとしていたので、

両親の若い頃の写真と自分たちの写真と一緒にコルクのジャーの隣に飾りました。

We appreciate all the people who took the time to write us precious messages!!

メッセージを書いてくれたみんな、ありがとう。

Welcome drink

This was the welcome drink table for the ceremony guests.

I wanted them to refresh with home made pink lemonade

before the ceremony after the long drive from Tokyo.

これは挙式のゲスト用に用意した手作りのピンクレモネード。

東京駅からの長いドライブの後、挙式の前にのどを潤してもらおうと用意しました。

I also displayed my bouquet and the mini bouquets for my sisters

on the table so that the guests can see them before the ceremony.

そしてどうしてもブーケを見せたかったので、挙式の前にゲストが

ウェルカムドリンクを楽しむ間、同じテーブルに飾っておきました。

ゲストがみんな挙式場に入ったのを見計らって、ブーケを持ちました。

In Japan, it's difficult to find pink lemonade and I didn't want any flavor 

like cranberry or raspberry, so I made it myself!

To add the mild pink color, I used red cabbage!

It was like magic when the lemonade's yellow changes its color to pink

after adding clear purple juice from the red cabbage.

ピンクレモネードって日本では全然売っていなくて、

作り方を調べたらラズベリーやクランベリージュースを混ぜたりするひともいるとのこと。

私はそういう味を付けたくなかったので、自然なピンク色を出すために紫キャベツを

使いました！前夜にキャベツを水につけてきれいな紫の液を準備して、

当日の朝にレモネードと混ぜたときの色が変わっていく様子はワクワクしました。

After party~drink tub~

探すのにとても苦労したdrink tub、ちょうどいい大きさの

とっても好みの見た目のtubは今後も重宝しそうです。

ゲストに提供したビールは

・tecate

・corona

・negra modelo

・sol

そして私はビールが飲めないので、私と子供用にペリエやサンペレグリノが出している

limonataなどもオーダーしていました。

缶の見た目もとっても可愛いのでパーティーのテーマに合っていたと思います。

テキーラのボトルがtubの中に入っていたのは間違っていたので

ケータリング会社さんにお願いして取ってもらいましたが

tubでたくさんのビールのミニボトルを冷やしてパーティーするのが夢だったので

うまくいって本当によかった！

他にもバーにはフローズンマルガリータを用意していたので

きっとゲストも楽しめたと思います。

After party~taco bar~

I really had no idea how it looked like until I saw these pictures!

I was too busy with other things and couldn't really enjoy the taco bar!!

Euge and I would have done a lot of  things differently

(mostly how to display food!) but it turned out to be great.

これが実際の当日の写真！

写真を見るまで、当日のタコバーの様子はまったく知らなかった！

忙しく走り回っていたせいで、仲良しのお友達にタコスを作ってもらって

食べた以外はまったくチェックできませんでした。

エウヘと私だったら、きっとたくさんのことを違う風にしていたと思います。

味付けや、ディスプレイの仕方などなど・・・。

それでもとにかく素晴らしいものに仕上がっていたと写真を見て思いました！
